Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to present this 1937
Willys Model 37 in STEEL! You read that right, the body of this is
real deal steel! Per our sellers build sheet the vehicle was
plucked from California and has less than 2,000 miles on the
restoration. The engine is a high performance 355 small block Chevy
engine (seller states 400 horsepower) mated to a Muncie 4 speed
manual transmission, Lakewood bell housing, and hydraulic
performance clutch system. The rear end is a 9" Ford with a 3.73
posi unit installed. The front straight axle was taken from a F-100
and narrowed. Manual 4 wheel disc brakes are on every corner and
are more than adequate. Custom side pipes exit nicely and have
decent clearance. Lending credit to the California story is an
auxiliary radiator mounted underneath the vehicle. It sits just
forward of the 20-gallon custom aluminum fuel tank. The air scoop
for it can be seen in the last few photos. The front radiator is a
custom Bruce Thomas radiator with twin fans. Time and effort was
put forth on the seating positions for this steel bodied Willys.
This is pretty friendly even if the driver is over 6 foot tall. The
gauges work and display coolant temperature, oil pressure, volts,
fuel, and RPMs. This 1937 Willys Model 37 is offered by the St.
Louis sales staff and can be seen in full detail on our website.
Our listing all include 100+ HD photos and a detailed video!
